Don Bugito is a street food project born as a continuation of my interest on edible insects, street food culture and the dynamics of social interaction in the food industry. Don Bugito was created with the help and guidance from La Cocina and intents to operate as a food business in the city of San Francisco for as long as a demand for it exists.
Don Bugito was launched on August 20th, 2011 as part of the San Francisco Street Food Festival in San Francisco, CA.
Don Bugito offers tasty edible insect foods and treats which are super healthy for both people and the planet. Inspired by pre-hispanic and contemporary Mexican cuisine Don Bugito features a creative use of edible insects, a food that is grown organically and naturally right here in California.
